P} The same day. We went out side with our binoculars and our green spying gear and a como hat we are ready so we went out there they are move move we said lets go on my roof he yelled go go go.

Week 6 Reflection

WHAT: On Monday we did our same rotations like reading,writing and maths. On Tuesday we did art. We started a new art. Then drew a picture of a fish. On Wednesday we had Chinese students come to our class. On Friday we went to the Gym and Miss Larsen got tackled into the foam pit by Casey and I can tell you she can still scream really loud. For Our habits of mind is Gather data through all senses the senses are Smell,Touch,See,Hear and do.

SO WHAT: This week I learnt how to write My name in Chinese it is really difficult and hard. 

NOW WHAT: My goal this week is to keep getting my work completed and hand it in.

Week 5 Reflection

WHAT: On Monday we did fitness spelling,reading, handwriting,writing and maths then the people who finished there work got to go out and play a P.E game. On Tuesday we did fitness the same rotations then we did Maori when we got given a cross word then we wrote the Maori days down in the cross word. On Thursday we had buddy I.T we went on this program called www.Buildyourwild.com and its just like making a Avatar but you can put elephant legs and thing like that. Our Habit of mind has been Gather dater through all senses. 

SO WHAT: This week I learnt that you could go on a web site called  www.buildyourwildself.com. 

NOW WHAT My goal this week is to always get my work done on a time.

Once upon a time there lived two people BROCCOLI BOY AND POTATO BOY they lived in a village with potato people and broccoli people. One day they were out side and they saw humans NOOO  they said there are humans out side watch out there heading straight to wards us lets go now move move move and off they went running back to there house. The humans were still chasing them then they ran under a little hole.  

Week 4 Reflection

WHAT: On Monday we did our rotations, we did writing and maths and glued our basic facts and spelling city sheets into our assessment book. On Tuesday we had a guest speaker he used to be in the army, his name is Mrs O'Connor. He showed us some videos of how they drive along and what they do if a road side bomb goes off and he talked to us about what he does. On Wednesday Mr O'Connor came back into our class  and showed us some more videos and took us outside and did some drills with us. On Thursday we had a person from the bank come into our class. His name was Evan and he talked to us he said if you have bank you get paid interest. Our habit of mind is Gather data through all senses. 

SO WHAT: This week I have learnt what people do in the army and some drills they do. 

NOW WHAT: My goal this week is get my work completed on time and hand it in. This week I want to do a BP Challenge.

Week 3 Reflection

WHAT: On Monday we did fitness we ran around the block then as soon as we got in the gate we ran into the hall to do jump jam. On Tuesday we did our normal rotations and we did Maori we  copied the days of the week it was cool. On Wednesday we did buddy art we to got them to sponge the background. Today in the hall we watched a video of the Olympics, it was rowing the double men scull race and the New Zealanders won. Our habits of mind is Thinking and communicating with clarity and precision.  

SO WHAT: This week I learnt that the NZ men came first in the Double men scull race and got a gold medal. I felt excited watching it.

NOW WHAT: My goal this week is to get my work done on time so it can get marked.

Week 2 Reflection

WHAT: On Monday we did a Habit of mind activity, it was to make a barrier and make sculpture, then tell your partner how to make it. On Tuesday we did all of our rotations. On Wednesday we went to the Wanganui Boys and Girls Gym Club. 

SO WHAT: On Friday I learnt that there was a programme called Khan Academy, its were you can do maths. 

NOW WHAT: My goals are to work as a group and get better at the Habits of mind activity we did.

Activity

We have been learning to use commas in our sentences I have written a story and highlighted the sentences with the commas in them. 
In the holidays Nanny, Grandad, Letesha, Annalise and I went to Rainbow Springs in Rotorua. When we first got there we had a look inside then we saw how much it was. It was expensive, then Nanny said we will have lunch first. We said "no". So we went to the counter and Grandad paid for it. Firstly we got a photo taken, then we went and had a look around. We saw Birds, Fish, Kiwis, Ells, Tuataras and talking birds. When we went and had a look around the other side there were heaps more animals. After we seen heaps of animals ride called The Big Splash it was amazing. Its were you go around in a Automatic boat and you see Mice, Dinosaurs, Eagles and Rabbits then you go down a big step hill.

P} In the Holidays I went to Roturua When we got there we went
 to this Motel called Havana Motel and my Nanny paid for it and there was a hot pool and the tempter was 38degrees. P} After my nanny paid for we went up stares to our room we opened the door and went inside the size of the T.V was a 38inc and 4 beds it was nice. Later on that day we went to the supermarket and got some food then we came back to the Motel and helped unpack the car after we asked if we could go for a swim and Nanny said yes so we went for a swim then we came back inside and had dinner then it was time for bed.

Assembly Item

On Friday we did an Assembly item called Once upon a hundred years nap. I was the Policeman for the assembly item. It was easy. I just had to say one line. I think that the play was good and I was really nervous at first but then I wasn't. I think that Isaiah did well because he had heaps of lines to say in the play, Jake and Kahu too.

Brandin's Maths Glog

In maths we have been learning to use place value to solve math questions. This is mine.

Writing Activity

We have been learning how to plan the correct way and make our main ideas make sense. Mrs Larsen showed us a new web site called Bubbl Us it is were you can do a plan but it's on the computer.

MUSEUM TRIP

Today Room 15 and Room 6 went to the Museum. I learnt that the blue star is hotter than the red star. We went into the cosmodome. We learnt about Puanga and saw some of the stars. Awhina showed us what Maori people do to celebrate June the 22nd. They share food and they hunt eels, they keep them in a pot in the water. They used to have stone bay blades to play with.

P-> On Saturday I played a game of rugby we faced Marist It was hard because they had big players in there team they had Keylan and Anthony. I got elbowed on my head it heart I felt dizzy. 
P-> After the first half we played the second half we were winning I played as full back and flanker Keylan got knocked out for 5seconds then he got up and went on the sideline then we got a try we won 31/0. 

Striving for Accuracy

Yesterday we started a new habit in class called Striving for Accuracy. We drew a picture of the time when we made a mistake,  I used to look at peoples work for the answers now I don't. Now I Strive for Accuracy and get it done by myself. 

Week 4 Reflection

WHAT: On Wednesday we had a famous rugby player come to our School. His name is Frank Bunce, he talked to us about the Westpac Helicopter Trust and about some rugby. We have been thinking about thinking. It is where you talk to yourself in your head. When you do something wrong then you change it. We also had some really good cup staking people come to our school. 


SO WHAT: I learnt this week how to get the size of the body of an animal right. 


Now What: My goal is I want to always be ready for learning and I want to do I.T.

Frank Bunce

Frank Bunce 

Today we had a famous Rugby player called Frank Bunce come to our school. He is in a Westpac Helicopter trust team, he talked to us about the Westpac Helicopter and a bit about when he used to play rugby. The Rippa Rugby players stayed and did some passes with him and got a photo with him. Then Room 15 got a photo and his autograph. It was really fun.

Week 3 Reflection

WHAT: On Monday we went to Rutherford for P.E and Music and we learnt 2 new games. They were really really fun. Today we did our toilet roll people. I am doing Tarzan and it is easy. Today if we got our work done we got to do cup stacking.

SO WHAT: I learnt 2 new games at Rutherford and how to play the drums.

NOW WHAT: My goal this week is to get my work done on time.

Week 2 Reflection

WHAT: On Monday we went to Rutherford and did P.E and Music. For P.E we did Monster Ball and this game called GermanWarfare and for Music we went on the guitars and we went on the keyboards. On Tuesday we had Mrs Conniglan as our teacher and we coloured in some spacemen to hang up in the cloak bay.

SO WHAT: This week I learnt how to play 2 new games at Rutherford.

NOW WHAT: My goal this week is to get my work finished on time.

Beach Safety

On Thursday Room 4, 5, 6 and 15 went to Castlecliff Beach. We went inside to the room that the lifeguards work in, then they told us a bit about what they do. They told us what rips look like. It is calm water.              We went over to the park to have morning tea then we went back to the room and learnt some more. After lunch we went and had a game of seaweed then we went into the water then we went home.

Week 6 Reflection

WHAT: On Monday we did inquiry we made people rowing the Waka and we had to colour them in. On Tuesday we did our reading and writing rotation. On Wednesday we did our fitness and we did rotations. On Thursday we had a reliever called Mrs Coneglan and we all get to do lexia.

SO WHAT: I learnt what Police Woman/Men do when they do their jobs and we listened to a video in the library.

NOW WHAT: My goal this week is to get all my work done on time so I don't have to go to Room 4.

Week 7 Reflection

WHAT: On Monday we did fitness then we did reading, handwriting, writing, art and maths. For art we had to draw ourself. On Tuesday we went in to the hall to the police and they told us what they do. They train at the Police College for 4-6 months. On Wednesday we went to swimming sports, we went to WIS there pool was so so cold. On Thursday we went to the Marae and we did lots of thing there, we went there with Rooms4, 5 and 6. 


SO WHAT: I learnt 1 new game that the lady at the Marae taught us how to play. It was really fun.


NOW WHAT: My goal this week is to complete my work on time.

Spirit Day

On Friday we had Spirit Day and we had to dress up as a Super Hero. I was a Army Engerneer. It was fun Jake dressed up as David Beckham. Mrs Larsen dressed up as Harry Potter and Mrs Whitwell dressed up as Evil Kenevil then we came back to class and made super hero's on the computer.

Week 5 Reflection

What: Today we had to dress up as a super hero or someone you look up to. I dressed up as an engineer for the Army. On Thursday we had  Purple Cake Day. We dressed in purple and could bring a cold coin donation to buy a purple cupcake.

So What: This week I learnt what Purple Cake Day was about.

Now What: My goal is to complete my homework and hand it in so it can get marked off.

Week 4 Reflection

What: On Thursday we went to Castlecliff beach to do beach safety. It was rough, cold and fun. We had to lay down and be beached whales, when the waves come they hit your face. On another circuit, we did a relay it's when you run around the adults and they wet you when you run past them. Mrs Larsen showed us how to send emails to people in Poland. We each have got a person from Poland as our buddy.

So What: I learnt how to send emails to people overseas.

Now What: My goal this week is to complete my homework.

Week 3 Reflection

What: On Tuesday we did a listing test where you had to listen to a story. We learnt how to go onto the befunky website. You get to change a photo of yourself and it is lots of fun because there are lots of different types of backgrounds and colours.

So What: I learnt  how to get onto the  befunky site. 

Now What: My goal this week is to carry on completing my work on time.

Two days ago Mrs Larsen showed us how to go on a web site called Befunky. This is one of my pictures, you got to chose four different photos.

A couple of days ago we made a Wordle. My Worldle colours are black and grey, we went on www.wordle.com

Week 1 Reflection

What: We got our own computers this year and we did heaps of comments on other peoples blogs around the world and our school blogs. On Wednesday we made our own wordle it was really fun. We got to go out for a game of german ball and we made our potraits on reverlation art,it was really really hard to do it.

So What: I learnt how to print from reverlation art it was easy.

Now What: I want to keep on completing my work.

Week 1 Reflection

WHAT: On Tuesday it was the first time in ages the whole class went out to play a game of Germin ball. On Wednesday we did long jump for athletics it was so, so so awesome. We had three Rugby World Cup winners and they got to pick a prize.

SO WHAT: I learnt how to do long jump properly and how to take off with one foot at a time.

NOW WHAT My goal is to get my work done on time.

Today Mrs Larsen taught us how to go on a new website called kerpoof. It's a cool website. You can choose your own background  and it takes you to where you can pick the people that comes up on the side of your background. This is mine.

Week 6 Reflection

What: On Wednesday Room 15 and Room 12 went to the Rugby Road Show. We had to go inside it was really really fun. We got to make a video. When we got there we just about hit a car it was a BMW. Yesterday we did the cross country it was very tiring. I came 4th in the nine year old boys.

So What: This week I have learnt about who won the Rugby World Cup. 

Now What: My goal this week is to finish all my work on time.

Week 5 Reflection

What: Yesterday Room15 talked about the Rugby World Cup and we started to  colour in a person and put our head in it for the Rugby World Cup. We went to the Mayors Chambers and got to sit in confortable chairs and got to have morning tea there. It was really nice.

So What: On Monday I learnt how to link B&L together. On Monday I learnt a new Jump Jam.

Now What: My Goal this week is to be on the couch.

On Satarday I played my rugby game it was really fun our first game was Marest Crusaders we won. Then we faste Marton they were hard but in the end it was a draw the score for marton was 5-5 and the score for Marest Crusaders was 9-6 we won. Thenwe went home I was all Muddy and very dirty like the rest of the team.

What: This week we had a Mystery Reader, his name was Marty. He read a really really funny book and he brought his gear that he needs to wear for his fire missions. The rugby team played Westmere at our school we lost by 2 points.

Week 3 Reflection

What: On Wednesday a lady from Duffy came to our class to talk about books. On Tuesday we went running. We had to run through mud and water. My legs were very muddy. Today we did our video for our  Inquiry.

So What: On Monday I Learnt how to link v&o together and I learnt how to run 2 laps when we go on our run.

Now What: My Goal this week is to explain what I have learnt. What I want to do next week is to do a B.P Technology Challenge.

Week 3 Reflection

What: Yesterday we had junk food for our 10.000 blog hits party. We had a competition for who got the most chocolate then we had a another competition of who could get the most m and m's. I got about 20 of them. We had  some cake too. We played Germanball. It was fun. In handwriting I learnt how to link the o to the a it was challanging. 
So What: I have learnt how to do links to class mates blogs.
Now What: To do fun time all the time.

German Ball

Yesterday we played German Ball it was very fun we played it with Matt, it was awesome. We lost and they won the game and some people had to sit out because they didnt run properly at cross-country. We had David in our team. I got out most of the time but David got me back.  Then the other team only had Caleb left until David got him out.

Once upon a time there was a secreat agent his name was James bond he was amazing at going on missions and killing people when they do something bad. He had to go on a cold mission and there was a huge monster James bond got out a AK47 and started shooting the huge monster. then after 500 shots the huge monster died then James bond took it back to his boss to show big it was his boss was amazed how big it was. then one sunny morning James bonds boss said you have earnd your new gun it was a shot gun.

Week 10 Reflection

What: This week we have done I.T buddies and we finished our older post from ages ago.  Today we did our letters from the Boys night out. On Monday we did a new jump jam and it was fun.

So What: I have learnt how to put a voki on my Blog.

Now What: My goal is to get my work done on time.

3 weeks ago we had to observationally draw ukleleles, and after that we had to blend them. It was easy. Then when we were finished we had to get a black pastel and do these note things then we glued our ukleleles on to a white piece of paper. We then got a black piece of paper and glued the white one on to it for a background. 

Week 9 Refletion

What: On Monday, Tuesday and Thuresday we did jump jam, we do six songs and moves and some of them are tiring. We have I.T buddies where we show the children from Room 1 how to post things like what they were doing this week.

So What: I have learnt how to draw flowers properly and write 3 or more paragraphs in writing.

Now What: To get my work done on time.
